Understand your Split bill result
A bill split calculator divides a shared cost into equal parts after you add the tax and tip that apply. It is useful for restaurants, group travel, household purchases, and other shared expenses.

Enter the bill before tax and tip
Start with the shared bill amount before optional tax and tip. If tax is already included in the price you have, leave the tax field at zero so it is not counted twice.
The calculator shows the base amount, tax, tip, total, and equal amount per person so everyone can see how the final number was formed.
Decide how tax and tip should be handled
For a simple equal split, enter the tax and tip percentages that the group agreed on. This calculator calculates both from the pre-tax bill, which keeps the method clear and consistent.
Groups may prefer a different approach when only some people ordered different items or want to pay different amounts. In that case, agree on the items first and use the equal split for the remaining shared cost.
Round the result fairly
A total may not divide into whole rupees. Decide whether one person pays the small remainder, whether everyone rounds up, or whether a payment app can split the exact amount.
The calculator is an equal-share estimate. It cannot decide what is fair when people have ordered very different items.
